SQL database You can store log information in a SQL database to provide advanced storage and analysis capabilities. The Active Directory schema defines objects that can be stored in Active Directory. The schema is a list of definitions that determines the kinds of objects and the type of information about those objects that can be stored in Active Directory. The schema contains two types of definition objects: schema class objects and schema attribute objects. Class objects and attribute objects are defined in separate lists within the schema (see Figure 14-6). Schema class and attribute objects are also referred to as schema objects.

You can use the ISA Server Log Viewer to monitor and analyze current activity on the ISA Server computer. When you start a query in the Log Viewer, it will display all activity on the server, including all successful connections and all blocked connections. You can also filter the data displayed in the Log Viewer to only show data that meets specific criteria. In addition to real-time monitoring, you can also use the Log Viewer to view the archived logs to examine previous server activity.
